Uses:
PHOS-CHeK AquaGel-K is a fire suppressant gel approved by the USDA Forest Service as a "water enhancer". AquaGel-K can be applied to all types of application equipment used in direct fire suppression, for indirect suppression as a protective barrier and a medium-term fire retardant and for the protection of structures exposed to an advancing fire
PHOS-CHeK AquaGel-K water enhancing gel is used for wildland fire control in forest, bush or grassland, direct suppression of structural fires and for exposure protection. Funtionally, PHOS-CHeK AquaGel-K absorbs water many times it's own weight and forms a gel producing increased droplet sizes that reduce drift and evaporation when dropped aerially. In many applications the gel forms a cohesive layer which acts as a vapor barrier and prolongs the effectiveness of the water.
Description
PHOS-CHeK AquaGel-K is a dry powder that when added to water in very low concentrations (0.1 to 1.2 percent by weight), rapidly absorbs water to produce a gel whose consistency (viscosity) depends on the selected concentration. The dry powder is self dispersing in many applications or it can be easily mixed by in-line induction or by simple circulation
PHOS-CHeK AquaGel-K is environmentaly friendly and contains no polyacrylamide, NPE, oils or solvents. AquaGel-K requires no special expensive chemical for wash-down or clean up when used in structural applications.
Phos-Chek Australia maintains inventory of AquaGel-K.
